AVIRIS 1996 convolved spectral library is now available. On Feb 17, 1997, Rob Green (JPL) sent via email revised wavelengths for the AVIRIS 1996 data. The spectral library splib04r was been reconvolved using these latest wavelengths. If you got the previously convolved library, replace it with the new one.

Recent word from the EPA is that our work at the California Gulch Superfund site near Leadville, Colorado has saved an estimated 2 million dollars in site investigation study expenditures, and shortened the site investigation by an estimated 2.5 years! All with AVIRIS, imaging spectroscopy mineral mapping. (Letter from Max H. Dodson, Assistant Regional Administrator for Office of Ecosystems Protection and Remediation, EPA, to W.F. Townsend and R. Harris, NASA, dated February 27, 1997.)
