Mosaics of AVIRIS quick-look images:

• Uncontrolled mosaics are provided both with and without annotation indicating AVIRIS flightline and scene designations, flight directions (red arrows at ends of lines), USGS scene nomenclature, and important geographic features including calibration sites.
• When this web site was constructed in 1998 and 1999, AVIRIS scenes were combined into 1024-line data cubes for preliminary processing. The scene nomenclature shown below was developed using the 1024-line cubes. Final material maps were produced from full, concatenated AVIRIS flightlines, some of which were over 6,000 lines in length. Spectral analysis was performed on each full flightline in one pass, generating mapping results for Fe-bearing minerals/water (electronic absorptions), clay-mica-sulfate-carbonate-silica minerals (vibrational absorptions), and vegetation.
• AVIRIS data are available from the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, AVIRIS Data Facility.
